Ravneet Singh Bittu

Ravneet Singh Bittu is an Indian politician. He previously served as the leader of Indian National Congress in Lok Sabha from 11 March 2021 to 18 July 2021.[1][2][3] Bittu was elected to the Lok Sabha, lower house of the Parliament of India from Ludhiana in 2014 and 2019 Indian general elections and earlier from Anandpur Sahib in 2009.[4] He is the grandson of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh.[5][6]

In January 2021, he was assaulted at the Singhu border during a Jan Sansad program.[7][8] He was appointed the party whip in Lok Sabha.[9] In March 2021, he was briefly appointed the leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha when the existing Congress Lok Sabha leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury was busy in 2021 West Bengal election campaigns.[10] In 2023, he received a bomb threat via a WhatsApp call.[11] On March 24, 2024 he joined the Bharatiya Janta Party. [12]
