On November 19, 2008, the West Baltimore station was the arrest site of '''Asa Seeley''' after ana [[illegal taxicantaxicab operation|gypsy cabbie]] noticed a rifle in Seeley's possession, he refused to drive him to Washington, DC, and instead dropped him off at the West Baltimore rail station and alerted police. Passengers on the train platform also become suspicious of Seeley and phoned police. As police gave chase, Seeley jumped off the platform and broke his ankle. Law enforcement sources were initially reported to have claimed that Seeley stated he was going to shoot President George W.
