Bernie's suggestion was "conspiratorial" only in the sense that he was accusing WaPo of (literally) "conspiratorial" behavior; the adjective "conspiratorial" doesn't mean "paranoid" or "unfounded", it means "pertaining to a conspiracy". it's like describing the statement "I believe someone was murdered" as a "murderous statement". undo

A lede has to neutrally represent views on a contentious topic where it isn't clear that one side is correct; see WP:NPOV and MOS:LEAD. The change had shifted the POV of the lede from, "Per studies, coverage was biased in favor of Sanders in some aspects and against him in others," (which isn't synth), to, "Per studies, Sanders overall enjoyed ample and favorable coverage." There is no consensus for the latter kind of lede. undo
