2022 Taiwanese legislative by-election2022 Taichung by-election – The page is solely on the Taichung by-election, which is the only legislative by-election in Taiwan of 2022. Naming shall reflect on the focused topic. See UK by-elections for naming custom. ~~ J. Dann 04:02, 29 December 2022 (UTC)

  • Oppose UK by-elections use the format year-constituency-by-election. A comparable format is for those in the US such as 2022 Indiana's 2nd congressional district special election, which I am not against. However these countries have articles for individual elections and so can maintain the same format between different by-election articles. Not the case for Taiwan. • Support, as stated above. ValenciaThunderbolt (talk) 21:15, 29 December 2022 (UTC)
  • Support per nominator. The new title is more WP:PRECISE on the topic as a by-election in Taichung, and is in line with the 2013 Taichung by-election article. The current title is misleading: It is not an article about a general Taiwanese legislative by-election, but simply about a single seat in Taichung. The Night Watch (talk) 15:00, 5 January 2023 (UTC)
