Needs update

There are many parameters in the camera info box template, that don't work. These parameters probably need to be added. Please review the current parameters, and update the template to include/display those as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dombi (talkcontribs) 08:57, 10 September 2013 (UTC)

I've updated the parameters to match what are in the template. A few were missing from the Usage examples. Funandtrvl (talk) 23:37, 25 November 2013 (UTC)

Dates

This template needs date parameters, labelled, say, "Date of introduction" and "Date of retirement". These should use {{Start date}} and {{End date}} respectively. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:42, 10 February 2013 (UTC)

Firmware

A camera's latest available firmware version seems like worthwhile additional information to me. Lopifalko (talk) 21:03, 18 September 2013 (UTC)

Film size

The label is Film size. for image size, we have several different parameters, including |imsize=, |res=, |prores=, ... Frietjes (talk) 21:37, 25 August 2014 (UTC)

Nonsense. Film size is the physical size of the medium, e.g. 35mm or 120. Image size is the actual size recorded and quite a different measure. I worked in the industry for many years and know the terms then used. The best possible descriptions in my opinion are:
Film format (35mm, 120, etc) as used in the industry at the time
Image size (24x36mm, 6x6, 6x7) as used in the industry at the time
The existing template descriptions are ambiguous. DesmondW (talk) 20:13, 26 August 2014 (UTC)

Storage vs. recording medium

Can anybody give any insight into how these were originally intended to be used? I note that people are using them interchangeably on digital camera articles to record what sorts of memory cards are compatible. I think it would be preferable if just one parameter were used for this, consistently for all articles. Samsara (FA  FP) 20:02, 22 September 2014 (UTC)

image parameter

I ran across two articles that used this template with image_name= instead of image= and, without causing any unknown parameter warning message, displayed the image in the infobox but still put the article into Category:No local image but image on Wikidata. I corrected the articles to use image= and they were removed from the maint category. It still seems like something with the template is not working quite right. Can you look at this, Frietjes MB 00:01, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
