Redundant template
IMO this template should be merged with Template:Infobox stadium. Of the major cricket grounds in Australia:
- Melbourne Cricket Ground, Brisbane Cricket Ground and Bellerive Oval uses Infobox stadium
- Sydney Cricket Ground, Adelaide Oval and WACA Ground use Infobox cricket ground
The infoboxes serve the same purpose but have a completely different look and feel. -- Chuq (talk) 05:05, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
- There seems to be a lot of cricket-specific information in this one which is of interest to cricket fans and wouldn't be in Template:Infobox stadium. Stephen Turner (Talk) 10:16, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Proposal to remove lasttestdate, lastodidate etc. fields.

Template can be used as module
This template should be used as embed of Template:Infobox venue because lot of stadium in Australia and New Zealand used for other major sports as well as cricket. Price Zero (talk) 03:38, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
- Price Zero, this now works. Frietjes (talk) 15:11, 24 December 2015 (UTC)
Flag variants
Please add flag variant syntax to prevent anachronisms. – Illegitimate Barrister (talk • contribs), 12:25, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
- Illegitimate Barrister, I added "var" suffixed variables for every {{cr}} and {{crw}} call. it would be much less cumbersome if we just migrated the flag generation to the articles. Frietjes (talk) 14:55, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for the fix. – Illegitimate Barrister (talk • contribs), 15:46, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
- Frietjes, could you explain how this works? I have just looked at the Old Wanderers, which uses the recent SA flag for Tests beginning in 1896 and 1939. I cannot work out how to insert the relevant SA flags. 88.104.146.161 (talk) 20:35, 11 March 2018 (UTC)
Map fields
This template needs support for pushpin maps field like Infobox stadium. Highest priority for pushpin_map_caption, pushpin_relief and pushpin_map like the Template:Infobox stadiumVinay84 (talk) 22:17, 23 June 2019 (UTC)
Small font size
I find some sections of this infobox very difficult to read comfortably because the text is so small. I can see that on some articles that changing this would expand the overall infobox size, but am not sure if that is a good enough reason for this infobox to use such small font sizes when the manual of style regarding accessibility advises against reducing the size within elements that already use a smaller font size. What do other editors think about increasing the text to the standard font size? EdwardUK (talk) 10:51, 29 April 2020 (UTC)
