Lilla Cabot Perry
Lilla Cabot Perry (13 Januari 1848 – 28 Januari 1933) adalah seorang seniman Amerika yang bekerja dengan gaya Impresionis Amerika, menampilkan potret dan lanskap dalam bentuk bebas dari mentornya, Claude Monet. Perry adalah penganjur awal gaya Impresionis Prancis dan berkontribusi pada penerimaannya di Amerika Serikat. Karya awal Perry dibentuk oleh keterpaparannya pada Boston School para seniman dan perjalanannya di Eropa dan Jepang. Dia juga sangat dipengaruhi oleh filosofi Ralph Waldo Emerson dan persahabatannya dengan Camille Pissarro. Meskipun baru pada usia tiga puluh enam Perry menerima pelatihan formal, karyanya dengan seniman Impresionis, Realis, Simbolisme, dan gerakan Realis Sosial yang melanda Jerman sangat memengaruhi gaya karyanya.[1][2][3]
