Ive got a live recording I made in Sydney by an Australian Bush/Punk/Folk/Rock band Skew-Whiff in a Rocks hotel back in the 80's. Sometime I might dig it out of storage and describe it here. What are the laws on sound bites and lyrics? how small does it have to be to be fit for purpose intended. There is almost zero google presence (they were popular in 1985) but i have a card with logo and possibly some video as well. moza 05:32, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi all,
I have restructed the article to make it easier to grasp. This was the facts of Bligh's appointment, the conflict with Macarthur, the overthrow and Maquaries appointment are first. All the details about events in Bligh's governorship (perhaps should be in Bligh's article in a Governor of NSW section?) and the causes underlying the rebellion come later.

Hi,reading this it's apparent that while recent works by Dufffy et al are being included some very old and outdated references are being cited, especially from the 1920s. Also, no mention is made of the derivation of the term 'rum rebellion'. I havent got time to start changes but flagging that I think these are necessary. I'm removed the sentence:
"However, imprisoning people and threatening to do the same to the court when they failed to rule in favor of said authority was extremely legally problematic, and the rulings in the subsequent trials clearly prove that the contemporary British legal authorities disagreed with the assessment that MacArthur's complaints were unreasonable based on the clemency granted and their explicit characterization of his behavior in office."
Apart from being expressed obscurely, it had no verification and appeared to be a mere statement of the contributor's opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sir rupert orangepeel (talk • contribs) 23:13, 3 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
