Digora (Roushie: Дигора́; Ossetian: Дигорӕ, Digoræ) is a toun an the admeenistrative center o Digorsky Destrict o the Republic o North Ossetie-Alanie, Roushie, locatit 49 kilometer (30 mi) northwast o Vladikavkaz on the Ursdon River (left tributary o the Terek). Population: 11,819 (2002 Census);^[1] 10,875 (1989 Census).^[2]

Foondit in 1852 as the aul o Volno-Khristianovsky (Во́льно-Христиа́новский), an later renamit the selo o Novokhristianovskoye (Новохристиа́новское) an Khristianovskoye (Христиа́новское), it wis feenally gien its present name in 1934. It wis grantit toun status in 1964.
