Serzh Sargsyan
Serzh Azati Sargsyan (Armenie: Սերժ Ազատի Սարգսյան, born 30 Juin 1954[1]) is the umwhile third Preses o Armenie. He wan the Februar 2008 presidential election wi the backin o the conservative Republican Pairty o Armenie, a pairty in which he serves as chairman,[2] an teuk office in Aprile 2008.[3]
Personal life
Serzh Sargsyan wis born on 30 Juin 1954 in Stepanakert, Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast, Azerbaijan SSR. He wis admittit tae Yerevan State University in 1971, servit in the Soviet Airmit Forces durin 1971-72, an graduatit frae the Philological Depairtment o Yerevan State University in 1979. In 1983, he marriet his wife, Rita. Thay hae twa dochters, Anush an Satenik, an ane granddochter, Mariam.[1] He is the chairman o the Chess Federation o Armenie. In addition tae his native Armenie, he is fluent in Roushie, Inglis an Azeri, but he haes no spoken Azeri for 20 years.[4] He is o nae relation tae the current Prime Meenister o Armenie, Tigran Sargsyan.
