Cherlaksky District (Russian: Черла́кский райо́н; Kazakh: Черлак ауданы, Cherlak aýdany) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the thirty-two in Omsk Oblast, Russia. It is in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 4,200 square kilometers (1,600 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Cherlak.[1] Population: 30,344 (2010 Census);[2] 36,356 (2002 Census);[6] 36,662 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of the administrative center accounts for 36.2% of the district's total population.[2]
