Denise Baum is an American politician who, as of 2023, serves in the Montana House of Representatives representing the 47th district in Billings, Montana.[1] She is running for re-election, but because of re-districting it has been expanded and renamed the 45th district.[2][3] Baum is currently a detective with the Billings, Montana police department.[4] She is a member of the Democratic Party.[1]

2023 Legislature
Denise Baum represented 47th district from Billings, Montana. Baum served on three committees: State Administration and Veterans Affairs; Transportation; and Fish, Wildlife, and Parks. She also served as the vice chair of the Interim Transportation Committee that worked to bring the passenger rail to Montana.[1] She sponsored and passed HB362, which expanded crisis intervention team training.[1] She also sponsored HB301, which would add a penalty enhancement for those in possession of a firearm while committing felony drug trafficking offenses.[1]
