Family Drama is an upcoming Indian Kannada-language dark comedy film written and directed by Akarsh in his directorial debut, and produced by Dabbugudi Murali Krishna under DMK Entertainment. The film has music composed by Chethan Ammaiah and cinematography handled by Siddharth Sunil.[1]

The film revolves around the escapades of an innocent family who get into trouble after committing a murder

Production
Akarsh who has worked under Rishab shetty for Kantara and Laughing Buddha under his production made his directorial debut with this film.[2][3] Majority of the cast are actors who gained fame from the 2023 films Dardevil Musthafa and Aachar and Co.[4] Sindhu in one of her interviews had told that she agreed on being impressed with the way storyline is written, which is quite different from the routine family dramas.[5]
Marketing
The title of the film was revealed on 18 March 2024 with a unique video edit of various prominent celebrities across India telling "Family Drama". The title introduction video was an instant hit with many appreciating the unique title reveal of the team.[6]A sneak peek of the film of the film titled "Trailer-1 The Prologue" was released on 29 March 2024.[7][8] Actor Dhananjaya appreciated the film's quirky trailer.[9] The team also had their poster designed by a Philippines based artist which was also appreciated.[10][11] The team further promoted the film by placing fake currency notes of Rs.600 across Bengaluru with a QR Code on it which would redirect them to the trailer of the film.[12][13][14]
