Mauladad Khan was a soldier in the 6th Battalion of the Punjab Regiment. He was born in 1822 He had served in various wars and earned medals for his bravery. Despite his lack of formal education, Khan held significant influence in the battalion as a Subedar Major. He was known for his adherence to traditional customs, often citing the ways things were done in Talagang, a place where the regiment had been stationed. Despite his resistance to change, Khan was revered for his courage and loyalty to the regiment until his retirement.[1][2][3]
