Hamas-led attack on Israel
Early in the morning of 7 October 2023, approximately 3000 militants,[29][30] from Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the PFLP, and DFLP,[31] breached the Gaza fence and attacked multiple locations in Southern Israel.[29][30] Following this the IDF blockaded, bombed, and then invaded the Gaza Strip.
