F. Michael Kruse (born January 27, 1948) is the Chief Justice of the High Court of American Samoa.
Kruse was born in 1948 in Samoa.[2] He received his secondary education in Auckland, New Zealand at St Peter's College.[citation needed] He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University of Wellington,[1] and is also an alumnus of George Washington University.[2]
Kruse practiced law in American Samoa as an attorney from 1985 until his appointment as an associate justice of the High Court of American Samoa in 1987.[2] He was then appointed as Chief Justice of American Samoa in 1988.[3] The Chief Justice is the head of the High Court of American Samoa.[4]
His eldest son, Vincent Kruse, is a lawyer practicing in Hawaii.[5]
