The monument was ordered by Manuel Rafael Mora Martínezgovernor of Tabasco between 1965 and 1970. The project was completed between 1967 and 1969. The author was José Luis Silva who selected quarry stone. It had a cost of one million pesos. In 1997, a distributor road was built that partially obstructs the view of the monument at ground level.[3] The monument's nickname is attributed to one of the sculptures featuring a seated woman with a bare torso and large breasts.[1]
