Shavur District (Persian: بخش شاوور) is in Karkheh County, Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shavur.[3]

At the 2006 National Census, its population (as a part of Shush County) was 62,617 in 9,841 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 69,051 people in 15,291 households.[5] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 70,071 inhabitants in 18,263 households.[2]
In September 2019, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Karkheh County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with the city of Alvan as its capital.[3]
