Spooks

What the hell is a supervisory system using spooks?

I came here to ask the same question. Osomec 11:46, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
I'm guessing labour spies used by management. On that assumption, I'll change "spooks" to "spies" because obviously it's a bit confusing and probably too colloquial for an encyclopedia. Bobanny 19:10, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Correct, they were labour spies instituted by management. "Spooks" is the name that the rank and file police used. I think that this detail is relevant in this article. There are some excellent published resources by Robert Haldane - a former member of Victoria Police which I'll locate and add to this article. 131.172.34.1 (talk) 07:44, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
