nonsence! Must be - Battle of Soule, because in original was written Soule, but not Šiauliai (name of a town) or Saulė (sun in lithuanian). I guess it is wrong translation made by lithuanian.

It is not knwon the exact place where the battle has been held. It was only doubted following 2 places:- Šiauliai in nowadays Lithuania (in German: Schaulen, in Latvian: Saule)- small place Vecsaule in southern Latvia (vec- means "old" in Latvian).

BTW, "Saule" means "sun" in Latvian. Therefore, I changed the article.(Unsigned comment posted 05:29, June 28, 2006 by Valdopraust)

Saulė in Lithuanian also means sun, so it seems np, although move in Wikipedia has a formal procedure and anyone cannot move what he wants an when he wants.Lokyz 13:55, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Coordinates?

Is it really appropriate to give precise coordinates for the battle in the infobox and page header when the location is so uncertain? 70.181.1.68 (talk) 00:34, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
