Which jamboree used File:WestIndiesScout.jpg as a logo? ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 13:13, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Use of non-free images File:12th Caribbean Scout Jamboree.png and File:Scout Association of the West Indies.png

Non-free images such as File:12th Caribbean Scout Jamboree.png and File:Scout Association of the West Indies.png need to satisfy all 10 of the criteria listed at WP:NFCCP in order to be used in an article. Such images are also not to be used in any of the ways listed in WP:NFC#Unacceptable use. The "Purpose of use" in the non-free use rationale provided for each of these images states "The image is placed in the infobox at the top of the article discussing Caribbean Scout Jamboree, a subject of public interest", but that is not how these images are actually being used at all. Since the images are not being used as the primary means of identification for the article, their contextual relevance to the article is not clear. Neither image is the subject of sourced critical commentary within the article and needed to improve the reader's understanding of the subject. The caption provided for "Scout Association of the West Indies" is not supported by a reliable source; It may be true, but it is simply original research unless it can be verified. The images seem to be used primarily for decorative purposes which is something that is not allowed per WP:NFCC#8, WP:NFG or WP:NFLISTS. Either image could possibly be used as the primary means of identification in stand-alone articles for "12th Caribbean Scout Jamboree" or "Scout Association of the West Indies" if such articles existed, but they cannot be used for that purpose in this article. - Marchjuly (talk) 01:00, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
