Dubious Source
"On May 29, 1937, the Republican air force attacked Nationalist air bases and the port of Ibiza, the German pocket battleship Deutschland, which was part of the non-intervention blockade fleet entered the area of the port to threaten the Republican planes."
A nice bedtime story: the nasty ship threatens planes. I will look into the circumstances because I think, (just a hunch), that the source is giving an unbalanced version of events. And nor does this source mention the 2 Republican battleships and 2 cruisers who fired on Deutschland but missed- it was added to Kriegsmarine "On 29 May 1937 the Deutschland was attacked off Ibiza by four Republican destroyers and two light cruisers, Libertad and Mendez-Nunez. Also attacking were bombers from the Republican Airforce."Fluffy999 21:45, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Move?
These are two completely separate incidents; why are they on the same page? If no-one objects I will separate them. Xyl 54 (talk) 16:47, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
List
I’ve removed the list of KM dead because Wikipedia is not a memorial; See discussion here and here.
Besides it is pretty un-neutral to list the KM casualties but not the Spanish, don’t you think? Xyl 54 (talk) 16:57, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
