Too much reliance on a text from the Victorian Era

The text contains too many subjective and archaic assertions taken, possibly as literal (albeit unmarked) quotes, from a source from 1861, and repeated uncritically as fact. These parts read as if the wiki article itself had been written in the 19th century. Just because one author thought it fit to say something in 1861, doesn't mean this is the state-of-the-art view or the way of writing appropriate for an encyclopedia in 2023. 62.73.69.121 (talk) 07:24, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
