This is a DUPLICATE article

There were two articles of essentially the same person. Neither article was very long. They both had essentially the same information. The problem may have been caused in that there were multiple variants of the same name. There was a "merge" request on both articles, but no discussion. So I merged the articles as per WP:BOLD. I kept all the information. The only thing I'm somewhat not sure about is the birth year (1924 or 1927?).

Here were the two articles:

Fernando Zóbel de Ayala y Montojo <---I kept this article

Fernando Zóbel <---suggest we remove this article

As of Jan 7, 2009, both of the above articles were about the same person -- the painter who founded the museum in Spain.

Be careful. There's ANOTHER Zobel who is a prominent Filipino businessman. And he's related to the Fernando Zobel person. Watch out for the accent marks over the letter "o". Here's his article:

Fernando Zobel <--- different person; keep this article

I'm going to put a tag on this article requesting deletion so people with more power than me can remove this duplicate article.--Tomwsulcer (talk) 00:32, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
