Recent additions (october 2012)

Hi Agallicchio and thank you for your additions! However, you are not clear about which reference belongs to which part of the text. Could you please fix this? On WP:REFB you can read more on how to do this. Or you can ask me! Lova Falk talk 09:46, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Inline citations and review needed

Copyeditors will be able to see that there are very few citations in this article, so I have added the Refimprov template today. Furthermore, after revising the Lead, I realized that the text needs to be reviewed to ensure that the content is aligned with Wikipedia's standards.--Soulparadox (talk) 05:30, 20 October 2014 (UTC)

Readability, small changes

Hi everyone! I like this page, and can tell a lot of effort went into posting some great information. In the hopes of adding clarity, and making this information easier to digest, I have made some small changes to the sentence structure in the Development section.

It is not my intention to step on any toes, nor do I intend to remove any content from the page. It's just that I noticed some minor improvements in sentence structure to be made.

Hand dominance

The following lines from the School age section contradicted statements written in above sections. Although it seems unclear exactly when hand dominance is established in life, because the above sections mention that it takes place during the pre-school age I removed the following lines.

"during this time children start to show dominance or preference towards a specific hand. The more dominant hand starts to develop at a much quicker pace than the submissive one, or the one that is not used as much."

update request proposal - electronics

In my opinion, this section should be updated in light of the widespread use of electronics by kids since an early age, playing videos and interacting with simple games in smartphones and tablets. Depending where you are, more and more kids develop skills with these technologies before they start learning to write even. If anyone knowledgeable in current research for those topics could add a few lines, I feel that would be a very positive contribution. Msbarrios (talk) 20:25, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
