Main article

I was surprised when I didn't find Querelle de Brest listed under Category:Novels by Jean Genet. Now that I see the title redirects to this article, I understand why. (You can't categorize Georges as a novel). Nevertheless, this is such an important novel, shouldn't it have its own article? Shouldn't the encyclopedia give precedence to the book rather than its protagonist? ---Sluzzelin talk 02:53, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

Illegality of homosexuality

The article claimed that homosexuality was illegal in France in the 1950s. This is false. What was illegal at the time was homosexual acts with minors (under 21), and other offenses dealing with minors and sex. I removed this claim until somebody can make things clearer.
