The result of the proposal was moved. --BDD (talk) 18:13, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

Karuk peopleKaruk – target is redirect to current title created by Usyvdi in the course of moving the main article "Karuk" on June 27 2013, citing "identifying this as a ethnic group article to distinguish it from the "Karuk Tribe"] which is a tribal government article. This dab was never necessary and goes against "conciseness" in the naming convention (as with so many others of this kind) nor any acknowledgement of what WP:UNDAB says about precisely that. Skookum1 (talk) 06:27, 20 March 2014 (UTC)

  • Oppose until the issue is addressed properly. These should be discussed at a centralized location.
There was a discussion once on whether the ethnicity should have precedence for the name, and it was decided it shouldn't. That could be revisited. But it really should be one discussion on the principle, not thousands of separate discussions at every ethnicity in the world over whether it should be at "X", "Xs", or "X people". — kwami (talk) 12:37, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
The above discussion is preserved as an archive of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

very basic stub, needs full expansion and separation of people/language articles --Skookum1 (10 May 06)
  • Has some good culture info, but a lot of it is quotes, and there's not enough overall to warrant more than a start class. But it's not really a stub anymore. The people and language articles have been separated. --Miskwito 23:04, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
