Numerous reliable sources (The Advocate, the Spokesman-Review, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, and several others) are noting that Yu's appointment to the Washington Supreme Court makes her the first openly gay member of that court. However, I have been unable to find independent corroboration about her orientation, much less her family life. Any help in finding this information would be appreciated.
