MING is an appropriate name for this Linux-based smartphone...

Motorola A1200 has been launched in other parts of the world. In Latin American countries, eg Brazil and Colombia, the A1200i (note the i) is known as MOTOTASK. --CesarCardoso 20:55, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

I think "MING is an appropriate name for this Linux-based smartphone" was a reference to the Chinese translation of it meaning "bright". It sounded spammy, or at the very least a subjective opinion that has no place in an encyclopedia, so I removed it. Ttrygve 15:24, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure how to integrate this - if at all, so I'll leave it here, perhaps someone can make it useful?

According to this page: http://developer.motorola.com/products/a1680/ ("The first in the Motorola Ming series with Android™...") the MING is a whole series of phones, all with a similar look (clamshell with transparent cover). Unfortunately the Motorola site has no listing of the involved models, but I am certain (without definite sources, through searching for a phone) that the Motorola Krave is a successor of the Ming phone/series. See also: xt806 and a1260 (replace a1680 in previous link with these). Surely there are more.
