This article needs citations, particularly regarding the character of Macmillan. The section on Roosevelt's visits is chronologically out of order, and also they are confusing the two locations.
The following info is original research (as I live in Juja House presently).
Roosevelt came on safari to East Africa in 1909 AFTER he had served one term as US President, but chose not to run for a second term. On this first visit Macmillan still lived at Juja House which is perched on the rim of the Athi River Gorge, just above the confluence of the Ruiri and Nairobi Rivers, about 12 miles south of Thika. Roosevelt's party camped on the plateau, and enjoyed hot baths, and hot meals at Macmillan's outdoor dining room, which was open to safari-goers passing through the area.
Roosevelt went back to America and ran for president a second time but lost.
The Castle was not built until 1921, after Roosevelt had been dead for two years.
Churchill neglected to mention anything about Juja Farm or Macmillan in his book, My African Journey. He took a train through the Athi Plain, and stopped at Nairobi for three days on official business in 1907, also long before the Castle was built.

Improvement
Can we move all the historical stuff to its own section, it seems so much and has little to do with the mountain itself. Creeddd (talk) 16:52, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
