I shall do (some of) the work when I can, but an awful lot needs doing. First, the article isn't in Wikipedia style (summary, headings, etc.). Secondly, the English (spelling, grammar) needs a lot of work. Thirdly, the style isn't very clear. --Phronima 11:32, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

It is very good that the article contains extensive references to the teachings of Rupa Goswami. Within these references and discussions on the teachings of Rupa Goswami, the true and specific qualities of a Gaudiya Vaishnava are represented. Have not had time to verify the quality of the sources for these refrences yet. The Gaudiya Vaishnavas practice in refering to only the scriptures authorized as bona-fide by previous Acaryas of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. Any other mundane interpretation of Sastra (scripture) would be up to question as to it's quality. 98.167.1.195 (talk) 18:38, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Default sort

I was just wondering how the article should be sorted by default: "Rupa Goswami" or "Goswami, Rupa"? If someone would be so kind as to answer this small question, please...

Rupa Goswami is the way the followers of Rupa Goswami commonly refer to Rupa Goswami. The sorting should remain "Rupa Goswami". 98.167.1.195 (talk) 18:34, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Template for quotes

I finally opted for wikitables after trying almost every single template available for quotes on Wikipedia. I know, I know: it's from being ideal or even great, but unless somebody has a better solution than mine, I think that should do for a while. Any solid suggestion would be appreciated, though!

Dubious - Vaishnavism

It is understandable that these sidebars may have been inserted by someone that does not direcly practice the teachings of Rupa Goswami and may see from an outside perspective. Rupa Goswami is a worshiper of Radharani and Krishna and their love for eachother. Rupa Goswami did not teach Vishnu as the Supreme Diety.

In Gaudiya Vaishnavism, Vishnu worship is a subset of Krishna worship. The Supreme Diety is actually Krishna. A more appropriate diety would be one of "Nityananda Prabhu and Caitanya Mahaprabhu", or a Diety of "Radharani and Krishna" in their human forms exhibiting loving pastimes. If we are to have an article about Rupa Goswami, we should acknowledge that Vishnu is lesser than Krishna according to the Rupanuga lineage originating from Rupa Goswami.98.167.1.195 (talk) 18:33, 24 April 2018 (UTC)

Dubious - Hinduism

By including Hinduism, we are further watering down the true essence of what a Gaudiya Vaishnava is. According to Gaudiya Vaishnava philosophy, Hinduism is an even further subset of Krishna worship than Vaishnavism. 98.167.1.195 (talk) 18:33, 24 April 2018 (UTC)
