This article needs cleanup and to be recast in NPOV.
Might one elaborate? I would say every article at one time has had this problem.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 05:35, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
Well, to pick up this point ten years later (!), the merest look at the article will reveal the specific problems. Most obvious is the consistent tone of exaggerated discipleship, with every teacher appearing with multiple honorific titles every single mention. Relatedly, the text reads more and more like a promotional brochure as it goes along — in fact I’d wager it is taken directly from some advertising of the monastery’s. This is all particularly unfortunate since the teachers and establishment in question deserve much better — clear and direct is the Zen way of Jiyu Kennett, not fawning.
The one sentence naming a scandal/controversy in the past is a heartening gesture toward objectivity, but in context it is startlingly out of place, coming right after a sentence saying pious banalities about the same teacher who was, we then learn, fired for improprieties unnamed. 2fennario (talk) 03:16, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
