Wouldn't this be better attached to the career of Niki de Saint Phalle? It would enrich the picture of the artist and gain meaning itself. --Wetman 22:21, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

My goal here is to form a bridge between the Niki de Saint Phalle and University of California, San Diego pages -- and hopefully a forthcoming Stuart Collection page. The Sun God is such a major feature at UCSD that there's actually a lot of detail that I could go into, and yet it seems a bit wacky to dwell on it in Saint Phalle's career (I mean, it's only a single work), or to embed deeply in UCSD's main page. I suppose one could argue that it could be a subsection of a Stuart Collection page, rather than its own page. I guess I could go either way. My real hesitation to attaching it to Saint Phalle is that I know very little about her, and I worry that it would be way out of context with her work. Whereas to UCSD students the statue is quite significant on its own. (I also need to dig out one of my old photos of it!) Anyway, I am not a longtime Wikipedia user and welcome input from the community on this matter. --Jason Snell 23 Jun 2005
I visited UCSD this week and took a shot of the Sun God for the express purpose of using it on Wikipedia. So now the Sun God has a face of its own here. Jsnell 23:12, 18 February 2006 (UTC)

How do you give a statue "a large working phallus?" I mean the working part... Rm999 20:53, 1 May 2006 (UTC)

By attaching a hose to it so that it would spray water out of its "working" end. Ocatecir 18:18, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
