so, is that her real age?

Susan was on CBC TV messing with her own page.... 70.55.53.124 (talk) 03:33, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

It is her age. I wondered about that too, but a check shows that they didn't actually change it. Sunray (talk) 20:31, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

WP Review

The CBC series Ormiston Online is mainly her selection of comments from blogs that pertain to the current federal election in Canada. Such selections give bloggers 7 & 1/2 seconds of exposure in MSM, a real boon for internet writers. The program where she reviewed Wikipedia focused on vandalism to Jack Layton's article on 26 September. She seemed truely fascinated that "any one can edit". After the scandal of the erasure of the article was covered, the CBC story continued with some exposure of Jimmy Wales explaining WP philosophy. Moments later we saw Susan with a regular editor showing her the history button and explaining that the vandalism was short-lived. The rather naive reporting perhaps was edited to suit a viewing public with little exposure to WP. The report did accent the role of the internet in current elections. One might note that without WP the selection of Sarah Palin in the US for VP candidate might have been more difficult as media would have needed material to report; in fact the first days saw WP material dominating coverage.Rgdboer (talk) 00:24, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

more difficult for lazy journalists maybe. But anyone with access to wire services could have dug up plenty on Palin. She's a state governor.207.112.68.76 (talk) 04:04, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
