Semantics

I attended a lecture by Ned Rothenberg a few years ago in which he described the rhythmic processes of Samm Bennett, specifically as regards his group Semantics, and they greatly resemble what is described here. Thus, I believe Bennett's work with Semantics might be included. Also, Rothenberg's work with his Double Band. Badagnani 22:24, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Ahem

Some of the proposed pieces are NOT 'totalistic' at all !

New addition

Hi - perhaps slightly self-promotional, but hopefully not offensively so, I've added some references to totalist compositions of my own. I am a performed and known composer, so hopefully you would consider the addition marginally better than the myspace link of some spamming fool. At the very least, I believe it shows that totalist compositions are being written outside of the core scene in New York and that the subgenre as a whole is growing in size. If you object, please let me know and I will remove accordingly. I do not feel however, that I am notable enough for a Wikipedia page of my own, so that will remain 'red' for the forseeable future. Unless you deem otherwise, of course! Leftblank (talk) 10:50, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Certainly there was much totalist music from outside New York City. Several of the composers named - Jarvinen, Adams, Polansky - are not based in NYC. Kylegann (talk) 03:37, 14 April 2017 (UTC)
