Contested deletion

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... I am a new Wikipedian, and will be returning to add citations and additional information. Valerie Maynard is listed in the article "List of African-American Visual Artists". --Sistanance (talk) 20:31, 10 March 2013 (UTC)
