Happy Chandler (1898–1991) was an American politician from the Commonwealth of Kentucky. In his lengthy political career, he served as a member of the Kentucky Senate (1929–1931), Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky (1931–1935), two non-consecutive terms as Governor of Kentucky (1935–1939, 1955–1959), United States Senator from Kentucky (1939–1945), and Commissioner of Baseball (1945–1951).Photograph credit: Harris & Ewing; restored by FatCat96
