Selected works?

The heading of this template says "Works of Ray Bradbury" but it only lists a small portion of Bradbury's output, especially in the "Short stories" section. Perhaps the heading should say "Selected works of Ray Bradbury" to note this. The danger is that a person would falsely assume that the navbox is listing all his works. Another alterantive would be to identify incomplete sections and note each one separately. Jason Quinn (talk) 18:47, 5 September 2013 (UTC)

The template would only list Bradbury's works which have a page on Wikipedia. The "Works" in the title links to his bibliography, which would contain more of his output. Randy Kryn 13:52 7 November, 2014 (UTC)

Biographers on navboxes?

A Bradbury biographer, Sam Weller, has been added to the 'Related' section, reverted, and then put back without talk page discussion. Is it normal for biographers to be listed on navboxes (in which case major historical figures would have entire sections of biographers). Will ping woodensuperman, who knows quite bit about navboxes, thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 12:34, 1 May 2023 (UTC)

Support inclusion, especially given that Weller (according to his WP article) was appointed as primary/main biographer by Bradbury. Spiritual Transcendence (talk) 12:39, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
That's not sourced. I've got personal knowledge of the situation, knew Weller, and in my last conversation with Bradbury Weller was discussed at length, but private original research doesn't count for beans on Wikipedia. In any case, biographers of major figures in history are not usually represented on the topic's navbox, that's the only question here. Randy Kryn (talk) 12:46, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
The templates of other major historical figures is irrelevant. What ultimately matters is whether the change improves this individual template on its own merit. Spiritual Transcendence (talk) 12:52, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
Will ask SMcCandlish as well as woodensuperman, they both know Wikipedia rules and regs very well. Dr. King's template does not include his biographers, nor does Gandhi's. Does it help Bradbury's template exclusively? Other people worked with Bradbury during his lifetime - editors, friends, etc., who could be listed as 'Related', so is it a due weight issue to choose one for listing as an entry? There's no rule that I know of, either way, but it's weird to have biographers in the navbox. As already pointed out, this would cause some navboxes to have an entire bloated section of biographers. I think this is what we call a "trivial intersection".  — SMcCandlish ¢ 😼  23:14, 1 May 2023 (UTC)
