My name is Devin Chaloux. Currently, I joined Wikipedia in August 2011 mainly to edit articles in the music theory realm. I took a break for a few years, but I am coming back. I am a Jacobs School of Music Doctoral Fellow in Music Theory and Indiana University. I earned my Master's of Music in Music Theory at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in 2012. I graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2010 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Theory. I am a current member of the Society for Music Theory (SMT) and Music Theory Midwest (MTMW).
I was the project coordinator of WikiProject Music theory in the past.
I have posted this biography in testament to my credentials as an editor in topics of Music Theory.
My mission in Wikipedia is to make Music Theory related pages accessible to all readers while maintaining it as an acceptable resource for those in academic communities. Keeping articles up-to-date and full of references and sources to related material will make both of these goals possible.
All articles I create, edit, or put up for deletion are conducted in good faith. As a lifelong learner, I will enter debates where I feel my opinion is valid and should be voiced.
I enter this community as a growing expert in the field. I will not overstep my boundaries on a subject I am not qualified to comment on. It would be greatly appreciated that the same concept applies to other Wikipedians.
