Name LEVIN pronunciationMy great grandfather William Hort Levin would have pounced his name 'Leveen' This pronunciation was in general use in my youth and was always used by the family. I was born 1932 in Wellington and grew up always hearing this use. I have a letter from Professor Arnold Wall circa 1960's, in which he recalled arriving in New Zealand 1899 at which time the town and also Levin & Co were always pronounced Leveen.
