Hey -Sorry for the late notice, but since you have yourself tagged as living in the Bay Area, I thought you might appreciate notification that we’re having an event Saturday! It’ll be held at Hoyt Hall, an all-women's house of the Berkeley Student Cooperative from 3 to 6 pm tomorrow. California cuisine

I fully support your proposal over at Talk:California cuisine. In my experience, members of the food and drink project on that page have a long record of extremely poor judgment and making very bad decisions when it comes to food-related articles. In several different food articles, I've had to revert and argue about their changes, content modifications that had no basis in reliable sources. I've pretty much abandoned food-related articles because of their poor editing and even worse critical thinking skills. Viriditas (talk) 05:04, 22 April 2015 (UTC)

Yes… well… I agree. But, food in the United States is very diverse, complex and subject to so much interpretation, by style, region, history (and generational outlook), etc. I'm just saying that's why it's so hard to weigh through it. Oops! That was indeed unintended. I knew the right page, but, as I was adding, subtracting, trading, and transferring items in my editing process; whereas, I had lots of windows open and didn't go back and put in the right reference: Mustard (condiment). When creating a list of items like this, I don't necessarily think it's necessary to point out links to other Wikipedia articles. But, some of the items are exotic, so I might leave them as formatted. In this case, I was trying to differentiate between dry (ground) mustard, such as Chinese hot, versus common wet mustard like American or Dijon. So, in these such cases, I don't have a problem with it. But, otherwise, I think that creating all those links can clutter an article, as if not to assume that the reader has a basic comprehension of things like chicken, as a farm animal, versus a cooked food. What do you think?
With a different regard, I also changed the sentences with supposed reference to Pan-Asian influence, versus pan-Asian Cuisine. That's a noticeable difference, if you click on the links. At that, it still causes me to realize more possible disambiguation, as well as attribution, such as to the citation. I intend to look into this and other citations (maybe two or three more) that are mentioned here. Notice that the citations don' have quotations attached to them, but only appear to be paraphrasing or interpretation thereof.
By the way, I also realize that you don't add "See also" links to articles that are already mentioned in the textual body. I removed one, in that case. Thanks for your help! Ca.papavero (talk) 19:18, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
Another thought: I actually do have some disambiguation issues on this page and possibly others that I'd like to consider. I just haven't made a priority of it yet, until I bring my thoughts together on those pages, so as to better articulate the issues. So, I'll probably follow-up on that. These are disambiguations that appear atop (at lead) of an article. Such as to add one in, or to better phrase. Lol… if you can comprehend better disambiguation to to a standing disambiguation. Aha! Yes.. does the job. Bravo! Good work… Proactive work! Lol. I'm working on this section now, however. Frankly, I think it's become a mess again. We've lost a lot of the content, as well as that paragraphs now have new sentences added at beginnings and endings to re-slant and editorialize. Many significant points have been wiped-out. I have practically lost all faith in those articles, which you can see from my comments there, especially at Carly Fiorina. Problems with the article about Bernie Sanders are overwhelming in my opinion. I wouldn't even know where to begin. And with my horrible experience at Carly Fiorina, I'm no longer in the mood to make such ventures. I spent lot of my time and effort at Carly Fiorina, but only then to see much of it shot to hell. Unless Wikipedia can control these personalities and their politics, I really don't see the point of it all. And its the credibility of the article, if not Wikipedia itself that remains at stake.     Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

    Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

    The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
