7 more days to create or expand articles

Hello, thanks a lot for participating in Geographical Indications in India Edit-a-thon. We understand that perhaps 7 days (i.e. 25 January to 31 January) were not sufficient to write on a topic like this, and/or you may need some more time to create/improve articles, so let's extend this event for a few more days. The edit-a-thon will continue till 10 February 2016 and that means you have got 7 more days to create or expand articles (or imprpove the articles you have already created or expanded).

Rules

The rules remain unchanged. Please report your created or expanded articles.

Joining now

Editors, who have not joined this edit-a-thon, may also join now.

Reviewing articles

Reviewing of all articles should be done before the end of this month (i.e. February 2016). We'll keep you informed. You may also check the event page for more details.

Prizes/Awards

A special barnstar will be given to all the participants who will create or expand articles during this edit-a-thon. The editors, who will perform exceptionally well, may be given an Indic Geographical Indication product or object. However, please note, nothing other than the barnstar has been finalized or guaranteed. We'll keep you informed.

Issuing level 1 warning about removing AfD template from articles before the discussion is complete. (Peachy 2.0 (alpha 8))

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Maddalam of Palakkad. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 17:27, 5 February 2016 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Maddalam of Palakkad

Maybe a mistake, but when you added your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Maddalam of Palakkad, you also added comments signed by Titodutta and Krishnachandranvn.

Also, two other less important things to note:

  • Please remember to add new comments to the bottom of discussions, rather than the top.
  • An article being part of an edit-a-thon is not a reason to keep. Several articles created at edit-a-thons are deleted. My own opinion is that the material belongs on Wikipedia, but that it should be in the main maddalam article (see WP:NOPAGE for why).

Thanks. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 22:41, 5 February 2016 (UTC)

Using article talk pages

Hey. Remember that per WP:TALK#USE, the talk page is for discussing improvements on Kerala (the associated article) only. It would be better if you post that on those respective talk pages (Talk:Dr. U. Bapputty Haji) rather than there, so that those interested would find it. If you want more input/help, consider posting at the WikiProject pages like WT:INB etc. So consider moving that discussion, editors are going to be less likely to respond there. Ugog Nizdast (talk) 14:34, 14 February 2016 (UTC)

Yes, Ugog Nizdast, thank you for the link to WT:INB , I will need it. Regards, --Prof TPMS (talk) 14:39, 14 February 2016 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yenepoya University closure

I reverted your deletion of this AFD so that it could be closed properly, based upon your withdrawal message. It's always sensible to withdrawal a nomination when information comes to light that leads to an obvious conclusion to keep the article being discussed. The problem was that withdrawal discussions should always remain a matter of record and not be simply deleted. Next time you want to withdraw a nomination, you can simply state that you want to withdraw within the existing discussion and leave it for an uninvolved editor to close, or you can close it yourself by following these guidelines. --| Uncle Milty | talk | 01:08, 19 February 2016 (UTC)

Yes,Uncle Milty, I understand now. I was looking for a proper closure method. Thanks. Prof TPMS (talk) 01:13, 19 February 2016 (UTC)

Rameshwor Karki

I don't understand why you have deleted this page. I have provided all the sources and references and yet you have kept it in speedy deletion and deleted it instantly. And hey whats the reason?? You think that this person is related to me?? come on I have to do some research and hey i have done this and it doesn't mean that this article is related to me.. I hope you rethink about it sir. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dazwill (talkcontribs) 14:38, 19 February 2016 (UTC)

Reason for deletion: A7: No credible indication of importance (individuals, animals, organizations, web content, events): A11: Article about a subject obviously invented by article creator or associate, which does not [[WP:CCS|credib...). Regards, --Prof TPMS (talk) 03:00, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

Centre for Studies and Training for Development

I received a message that you reviewed "Centre for Studies and Training for Development" as distinct from the same article without "The" before the title (which I've requested to be deleted, as explained on its talk page). I'm wondering why you did not remove the "unreviewed" tag?Jzsj (talk) 07:14, 22 February 2016 (UTC)

Yes,Jzsj, I have forgotten the second page, but now I have removed the tag. Regards, --Prof TPMS (talk) 10:10, 22 February 2016 (UTC)

Bare URLs are not a valid reason for deletion

Bare URLs are not a valid reason for deletion. You tagged an article for deletion incorrectly. Please be more careful. – Jonesey95 (talk) 14:43, 22 February 2016 (UTC)

Yes, Jonesey95, I have withdrawn the tag. Regards, --Prof TPMS (talk) 15:24, 22 February 2016 (UTC)

Gordon High School (Somerset West)

Any school is notable. I'm not happy about it, but it's so.Xx236 (talk) 13:39, 23 February 2016 (UTC)Yes, Xx236, schools are nostalgic and important as long as someone is ready to write at least a few lines about them. Let's wait a little more to get some additional information on the school. Regards, --Prof TPMS (talk) 13:41, 23 February 2016 (UTC)

I have unreviewed a page you curated

Thanks for reviewing General Hospital Characters (2015-), Prof tpms.

Unfortunately Lithopsian has just gone over this page again and unreviewed it. Their note is:

Your tag was removed, although the article editor is not constructively addressing concerns about this article. Feel free to re-tag or take other action. I'll take another look after a while.

To reply, leave a comment on Lithopsian's talk page.

Lithopsian, Thanks. --Prof TPMS (talk) 00:07, 28 February 2016 (UTC)

Issuing level 2 warning about removing AfD template from articles before the discussion is complete. (Peachy 2.0 (alpha 8))

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Jyoti Prakash Dutta (writer). Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. Please note that the tag was removed because the discussion was completed. I put the tag for deletion. Regards, --Prof TPMS (talk) 02:24, 29 February 2016 (UTC)--Prof TPMS (talk) 02:21, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
