Assuming the H.R. Voth from the description is Henry Voth, he died in 1931, which was less than 100 years ago. Even if we applied {{PD-old-70}}, that wouldn't make it PD in the US. Logan Talk Contributions 03:10, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. In fact there is some information: it is listed as being from "Masters of Achievement". From that sparse information I was able to find it in a 1910 American-published book: [1]. So it is public domain, {{PD-US-expired}}. —David Eppstein (talk) 08:26, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep, found the same thing as David Eppstein. Identical portrait, book published in several editions around 1910 to 1915. The author of the book is Henry Woldmar Ruoff (1865–1935). Doubtful that the book mentions who made the drawing from a painting. Not sure which edition this copy comes from, but in any case, it's in the public domain. I'd like to tag this image with {{db-f2}}}, but the image was cropped and then rotated/angled, forcing a user to compare this copy with the one seen in Getty Images. Comparing them both, I can see that both are the same photo, despite crop and different rotation/angle. Such use may violate WP:GETTY, especially when the whole article doesn't mention this photo in extensive detail or cover it in text. Furthermore, it was created as an attempt to put the other existing image of this person aside and then used in three articles. George Ho (talk) 06:11, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The uploader is blocked for repeated copyright violations and these photos look like they were taken by TV channels and cropped from there. I think we should presumptively delete these images as copyvios. — MATRIX! (a good person!)[citation unneeded] 17:39, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

De-PRODded due to samples being used at the time of the article's GA promotion. Nonetheless, hearing the samples, other than merely identifying recording portions, I couldn't see how a sample of Carmichael's original recording helps readers grasp the whole song itself (Stardust (1927 song)) or what the whole song is about. Same goes for other samples I'm nominating here, especially the Sinatra–Pied Pipers one. Likely, they may not comply with NFCC, especially #3a (minimal number of items) and/or #8 (contractual significance). –George Ho (talk) 17:55, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
