Portal:Grey's Anatomy

Portal:Grey's Anatomy (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Single TV show portal that never progressed much beyond 2012. An editor hid some empty sections in 2013 and some generic portal changes happened during the recent portal building craze but otherwise this has just sat around unloved. Since the series is cancelled this scope will never grow. The articles on the show are a much better introduction to the topic. Legacypac (talk) 00:28, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Again not seeing much of a deletion rationale here. This is a popular programme. The head article is a GA, and there are 5 FAs/FLs and 26 other GAs listed. Although the series has not been continued there were 15 seasons and a large cast, so plenty of scope for editors. There was a Wikiproject, though it is now inactive. The portal has 16 selected articles and 12 selected episodes. Espresso Addict (talk) 04:23, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete No series meets the breadth-of-subject-area requirements of the WP:POG guideline, and certainly not this one, which is not even a Level-5 vital article. WP:Portal says they are mini-Main Pages, yet this one has no selected images, no "Did you Know" section, and no operating "in the news" section (the last of which it can't, because the series has ended). We have Wikipedia:Featured topics for collections of featured content. Plus it is completely unmaintained, contrary to the WP:POG guideline's requirement of a "large number" of maintainers.UnitedStatesian (talk) 05:05, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Old portal, 87 subpages, created 2012-06-12 19:33:15 by User:Benzband. Not a sufficient broad scope. Portal:Grey's Anatomy. Pldx1 (talk) 13:09, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per WP:SURMOUNTABLE and There is no deadline. I'm not seeing any valid criteria for deletion here, only litany of deficiencies that are fixable. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 16:04, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Since the series has ended, there is nothing anyone can do to make this a broader subject area. Insurmountable. UnitedStatesian (talk) 16:57, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - It appears that no one is maintaining the portal, and the creator and other early contributors are inactive. The arguments by portal defenders that the lack of a maintainer can be fixed (by finding a maintainer) are hollow, in view of years of such promises about portals. Individual TV series are not broad subject areas. Robert McClenon (talk) 03:46, 21 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete This portal was abandoned for three years. ―Susmuffin Talk 04:34, 21 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Insufficiently broad for a stand-alone portal. Tazerdadog (talk) 09:16, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
