If it really shows Google Chrome OS, then the appearance is copyrighted software and thus no free image could possibly be made. Also, the screenshot depicts the logo of Wikipedia, trademarked by the Wikimedia foundation. SoWhy 15:36, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The rational given in the image description is wrong, an image is not public domain in Europe because it is 70 years old, it is public domain in most EU countries because 1) the author died 70 years ago or 2) the author never disclosed his identity (anonymous) and the image was published 70 years ago. Saying the author is "unknown" does not mean that he is anonymous. No research was done and documented to find out the author, the license appears to be invalid. --Martin H. Per Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files/2009 September 28#File:Starfleetinsig real.jpg, I am nominating the rest of User:Flans44's Starfleet insignia images. Flans44 has not demonstrated an understanding of "derivative works" and thinks that these images can be licensed however he/she likes because he/she is in physical possession of the items depicted.
