존 F. 맥아더

신학
맥아더 목사는 신복음주의 영향의 기독교 정통 보수주의를 대표하는 인물로 꼽히고 있다. 그 이유로는 성경 중심의 강해설교를 통해 왜곡된 복음주의를 바로잡는 진리선포를 목표로 하기 때문이다. 그는 설교 뿐만 아니라, 다양한 채널을 통해서 번영신학과 사회정의 등의 보수적 입장에서 잘못된 신학을 통렬하게 지적하고, 진리를 바로 세우는 데, 주안점을 두고 있다. 또한, 오순절주의를 비판하며, 은사중지론을 펴서 그들로부터 많은 공격도 받았고, 반동성애적 입장과, 코로나 사태 때 교회문을 열어 예배를 하는 등의 태도로 반발을 사기도 했다.
