De Lunar New Year Cup is een voetbaltoernooi dat jaarlijks wordt gespeeld in Hongkong, China. Het toernooi is vriendschappelijk en er doen zowel landenteams als clubteams mee. Het wordt georganiseerd door de Hongkongse voetbalbond. De wedstrijden worden altijd gespeeld rondom het Chinees Nieuwjaar. Een voorloper van dit toernooi zijn de wedstrijden die werden georganiseerd tussen 1908 en 1973. Deze 'Exhibition Matches' (vrij vertaald: tentoonstellingwedstrijden) werden gespeeld tussen lokale clubs en een club van buiten Hongkong. Vanaf de jaren 70 groeide dit tot een iets serieuzer toernooi waarbij meerdere club meedoen en waarbij soms ook een halve finale en finale werden afgewerkt. Het toernooi heeft verschillende namen gekend, afhankelijk van de sponsor. Vanaf 2007 heet toernooi weer Lunar New Year Cup.
