Yaşamı

Avari, 13 Nisan 1952'de Darjeeling, Batı Bengal, Hindistan'da doğdu. Charleston Koleji'nde eğitim gördü. 1962'de oyunculuğa başladı. En çok 1995 yapımı başrolünü Amerikalı kadın oyuncu Mimi Rogers ile paylaştığı romantik drama türünde sinema filmi Dancing in Twilight ile akıllarda kalmıştır. Yer aldığı diğer bazı yapımlar arasında; Stargate (1994), Independence Day (1996) ve The Mummy (1999) sayılabilir.^[2]

Özel yaşamı

1980 yılından bu yana Margaret Walker ile evli iki çocuk sahibidir.
