2005年1月，Vicarious Visions被动视收购。美国当地时间2021年1月22日，动视暴雪宣布即日起将Vicarious Visions合并入暴雪之中，成为暴雪的游戏开发支持团队。[1]2022年4月，公司宣布将名称从“Vicarious Visions”变更为“暴雪奥尔巴尼（Blizzard Albany）”。[2]
