On 27 July 2023, the United States Department of State approved a possible sale of 21 AAV-7A1 vehicles in three configurations to Romania. The aircraft are stored at the 95th Air Base. According to Jane's World Air Forces there were 17 single-seat LanceR C and 8 twin-seat LanceR B in service at the time of retirement.[243]
